Phantom of the Opera: All I ask of you

Recorded in one morning just because I felt it’d been a while since I’d recorded anything at all.

Virtually no practice on the violin side; the voice side I was more familiar with as I had sung this piece a few times over the years.

Strings: Tricolore set.

Each verse was recorded separately and over multiple takes.

I redid the entire violin section on 2023-05-07, a rainy afternoon, though I hadn’t practiced at all since the original recording.

2023-07-19 saw me redo the violin section once again — with insignificantly better intonation? — on the AKG P170.

Overall the intonation on this piece has been unusually difficult for me, I’m not sure whether due to a mental block or something else; indeed it is hard to maintain a consistent tone colour across strings and that necessitates some difficult fingering.
